NOKOMIS BRIDGE

Painted this with PAF group,  Plein Air Painters of Florida.  Loved the blue color of the bridge!  Subject too complicated for one session, had to return to location the following morning.  Same white heron was there.   The cobalt blue bridge was almost the same color as the sky.  Early morning light tinted it lemon yellow in the east.  Great spot to paint.  Will do many more from this location.

These kayaks and a canoe caught my eye as I was driving past around noon.  No way I would set my easel up next to 776 in the sun and traffic noise.  Had to  make do with a snapshot.  Just noticed a shadow I missed.  Let me know if you find it.

ENGLEWOOD SPORTS PARK

Beautiful morning painting outside on park bench.  No one around until a swarm of bees and fire ants found me.  Had to paint fast.

This little house faces the Placida boat painting from yesterday.  Started on site and finished in the studio.  Loved the colors and wave pattern decorations beneath the shutters which were closed for the season.

Long, hot day at the St Armand's festival.  Met many wonderful people and artists.   Will be glad to get back to painting this week.  

This painting was done half on site and half at home with some things left out or changed.  I darkened the sky more than it was to add stronger llight contrasts.  I'm happy with the mile marker sign, just the right touch of red.  Pleased with the dark against light value changes in the forward line.  Not a bad little painting at all!
