Weekly Challenge Zippo

The challenge at dailypaintworks.com this week (http://www.dailypaintworks.com) was presented by Michael Naples (one of my favorite artists).  A Zippo lighter had to be painted using only ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, and white!  Great fun and wonderful learning experience.  These challenges are like taking a free workshop led by amazing artists.  And it's interesting to see how everyone interprets the subject.

I love how you really make these challenge photos your own, Diane - the playing card is a great touch! And the metal is wonderfully rendered.

Diane, I love how you did your own version of the challenge. The card was a great idea and you did a beautiful job on the reflection. I know you had to make it up. Nice job.

I love your painting. Especially the addition of the playing card. Now it tells a story and paints a scene.
Love the rest of your paintings as well.
