CLOSE TO HOME

Diane Mannion, CLOSE TO HOME, September 2013, oil/canvas or linen

Here they are in all their glory!  Was pleased to find I had completed 22 instead of 21.

Was this challenge worth doing?  You betcha!  Many of these paintings would not have existed if not.  Pushed myself more than I normally would during a busy and month.

Was able to paint 30 paintings during the January 2013 Challenge, so I know it's possible.

NOW WHAT?  Goals set by me!  Collection of larger paintings for galleries and competitions.

Next Leslie Saeta Challenge... January 2014!

What a wonderful variety of artwork! It really shows your range. This would make a nice postcard.

Thank you, Carlene! Postcard would be a fun idea, now if I could get every Floridian tourist to buy one.

Thank you, Johnna... we WILL do it in January. And thanks for your wonderful comment about my painting on DPW, Pat's Garden. It's one of my favorites!

Beautiful collections Diane, both of them! I found this challenge to be a lot harder to keep up with than the one in January too.

Congratulations Diane! I really admire your stunning paintings! What a badge of honour to be able to post 2 collages!! You have inspired me to be open minded about January after all. I'm impressed that you have already pumped out another painting since the challenge ended. I'm still catching my breath!
It is a shame that we live on different continents as I would love to learn plein air painting from you. I just love your style!
