Florida Tulip

Diane Mannion, FLORIDA TULIP, 6x6" oil
A word of warning... don't start looking at Carol Marine's Artbyte Tutorials at Daily Paintworks.com late at night.  Eye-opening!  They're so inspiring and useful they'll blast your brain wide awake!  I bought every one of them (some are free!).  Beautifully done and for any skill level.

Miss seeing tulips growing in the yard down here (one of the only things I miss about the North).  Found this one in our local food market which has them cut or potted, bought a batch for my painting students.  They left carrying a painting in one hand, the real thing in the other, and the web address for Artbyte Tutorials.

Hi Diane,
Came across your blog from a comment you left on one of Carol's ArtBytes. I've just started blogging and wanted to say I think you've done a great job with your layout and all the extra information you provide. And, your work is fresh and wonderful! I checked back to when you began and I see how your style has loosened up and has evolved into more of what I wish to become. :) Great Job!

Thank you, Kathleen! Keeping a blog is a great motivator, an archive of work, and a nice place to meet folks like you.
