There are butterflies that don't fly unless the sun's out, and this day it was so cloudy, even the gulls stayed on the ground. I feel the same about painting. I'd much rather paint sunlight and shadows. The highlight of the day came when I checked out what my friend was working on. Her painting was filled with light, color, and energy... and the subject was me!
