Second plein air painting for the day. Left unfinished, then fiddled with in the studio. Experimented with a palette knife. Found it useful for sea oats stems and curly weeds. Sometimes, for blending areas. Also for loading more paint on the surface for texture and to give brushstrokes depth and direction.
