Glazing Demo

A demo I did a few years ago has suddenly become popular again.  This is a glazing technique worked in layers over a period of many days.  It's different than the alla prima method, which is wet into wet and usually finished in a few hours.  Plein air paintings (landscapes painted outside) are worked alla prima for example, finished in the few hours to capture conditions before the light changes.   RACHAEL was worked on for about two weeks.  Here's the link to the original posts with more technique details, scroll down when you get there:http://dianemannionpaintings.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
