Corner Window, 12x9 oil, plein air, ©Diane Mannion
Let It Go
A friend gave me three words today... as a gift! "Let It Go." Ahhh... instant stress relief.
They were not in reference to this painting, but also useful here. I let the painting go before fiddling too much and losing the spontaneous plein air feel.

Diane, you continue to amaze me! That is BETTER than the actual window! WAY TO GO!
Thanks, Kathleen E Kelly! So much relies on imagination... pushing light, contrasts, and color. A plein air painting can only capture an impression of the moment. In only two hours, a lot relies on memory and design. Hope that makes sense... at least, I'm trying to figure this out myself.
